Great public schools are the foundation of our community. MVLA is privileged to have dedicated and talented staff; caring and engaged parents and amazing students. I am running with a focus not only on the continued quality of education for all students during this challenging time, but to ensure we maintain the other vital roles schools play in our young people’s lives. I am committed to bringing the voice of our families to the Board, one that aims to balance students’ academic success with mental health, well-being and equity.
I am committed to:
Focusing on the mental and social-emotional health of students
Working to close the achievement gap and better meet the academic needs of all students to inspire a love of learning
Open communication with families, including listening to a diversity of opinions and needs
